The summer months in Reno can get hot. When it’s hot, you have to find water…and few things tucker out a youngster more than a day at the pool or lake.
With the temperature approaching triple digits, many parents are enrolling their children in swim lessons – some just a few months after birth. And there’s a good reason for that.
Swimming is a fundamental skill for all children. And if not done right, it can lead to tragedy. According to the CDC, 10 people drown every day in non-boating accidents – 1 in 5 are children.
Whether your kid is fresh out of the womb or didn’t show interest in swimming until age 12, take a look at a list of locations that offer swimming lessons in Reno/Sparks. (And if we forgot one because they don’t have a website, get a website…and leave a reply at the bottom of this page and we can add it.)
